We're a Seventh-day Adventist congregation who believe the Sabbath is a gift, not a rule — and that everyone deserves a harbor to belong to while they figure the rest out.
Our congregation began as a handful of families gathering for Sabbath worship, convinced that a day set apart for God and each other wasn't old-fashioned — it was exactly what a hurried world needed. Since then we've grown into a full community of departments, small groups, and ministries, but the heart of it hasn't changed: we still show up on the seventh day, together, glad to rest.
Today we're part of the worldwide Seventh-day Adventist family, connected to a wider Conference, Union, and Division — but still very much a local, hands-on community that knows your name.
Seventh-day Adventists hold to 28 fundamental beliefs. Here are a few that shape daily life here at Harbor Light.
The seventh day is a gift of rest and worship, from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown — a weekly harbor from the pace of everything else.
The Bible is our rule of faith and practice — read together, wrestled with honestly, and trusted as God's word.
We live expectantly, watching for Christ's soon return — it shapes how we love, serve, and hope.
Body, mind, and spirit belong together — which is why health and wholeness show up in how we care for one another.
Our elected church board and pastoral team oversee the congregation's life together, working alongside every department to keep things running with care.
Leads preaching, teaching, and pastoral care for the congregation.
Supports worship planning and shares pastoral responsibilities with the board.
Keeps membership records and the congregation's official history.
